Well, moving was fun, aside from the bickering and the constant, "Don't touch my shit! Keep the hell away from that! No, don't throw that out!" I was going to post pictures, and I really should have taken some before I filled the place up with all my stuff, because it admittedly looked a lot better then. I will still post things when the place is looking better.

As you can see, I have internet service now. And holy crap, a lot happened while I was gone, didn't it? I thought I'd spend time catching up today, but mostly what happened was I ended up downloading applications, signing up for services, and RSS-ing things left and right.

This is what I've decided:

• I will continue to update nighty_night, however it will no longer be where I direct people who are interested in my archives. This whole thing has made me realize that I shouldn't be dependent on other services to keep track of information that is important to me. Therefore...


• I will be updating my Fanfiction.net and Shinra Electric Co. accounts regularly (though I won't be putting things on SEC from FF.net that haven't been edited to my satisfaction).


• Officially, I'll be hosting my fic at Darknightdestiny.com as well, so everything of mine will be pulled together on one site (as it should have been all this time, but I've been too lazy or busy).


• I got a Wordpress account, for no other reason than that blog.darknightdestiny.com forwards to this address, and I've decided I like the layout and usage.


• I got a GreatestJournal account, but probably won't use it for much. At first I was going to use it as my new fic archive, but I have several means for that. I'm also hesitant to get caught up in more communities, since I've already gotten so caught up in many of the ones here, and I just can't keep track of all of that. Mostly I have this so I can leave signed comments and read writer friends' F-locked entries. By the way, I've RSSed you all.


• I will link all fic updates to nighty_night, regardless of whether or not I put the actual content there.


• I am going to continue to update both my LiveJournal accounts, though their activity might lessen. But that's got more to do with my getting lots of not-computer-friendly thunderstorms, and having a pool for the days when we don't, and also going back to work. I think that if I want something in ff_press all I have to do is e-mail them; I'm not sure if there's a rule that says it has to be in LJ as long as you provide the headers in the e-mail, but I'll double-check.


• AdultFanfiction.net makes separating adult material from other material quite easy. Some people might not like that site, but considering it's pretty much for everything that's objectionable elsewhere, I don't mind. I've had an account there for a while, so I might as well start using it. I will also post these things in nighty_night, but it's nice to have an archive elsewhere.


I've never really written anything that constitutes anything even remotely in the realm of pedophilia—I've never even written a Yuffentine smutfic and never even gotten that far in my LuccaxMagus fic (a game which takes place mostly in medieval times, people). But I also realize that all it takes is someone saying, "A shounen-ai tag? The literal Japanese to English translation for that is boy-love! And boy must mean little boy, not just specify gender! That means she must like watching little boys..." and you get the picture.

This, in my opinion, is too much. There are too many people out there with personal agendas, or just spiteful and vindictive people who would actually take fandom warring that far. So while I'm not going to move my things to give a foothold to their cleaning house, I'm not going to let nighty_night be my main archive any longer.
